Visit The Daring

With preservation and conservation of The Daring nearly complete, we are able to provide guided tours of The Daring. Tours will share the history of life in the mid-1860’s as well as information on New Zealand’s maritime and ship-building heritage.

Tours are offered by donation. The Daring will be open for tours between 11am and 1:30pm weekends, or by appointment.

There are many wonderful things to do in Mangawhai, and we encourage you to explore the wonderful beaches, cafe’s, chocolate factory, wineries and galleries while you are here.
